Frequently asked questions.

How does pemf work?

PEMF or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy works by sending an electromagnetic pulse into the body, which mimics the body’s natural magnetic field and stimulates cells and allows them to work at their very best. This magnetic pulse also separates red blood cells that are clumped together, allowing for better oxygenation, and increased blood flow.

This creates a better environment within the body to heal itself. Leading to decreased inflammation, higher cellular regeneration and activity and optimized organ function. The therapy doesn’t hurt, is calming to animals and non-invasive.

Pemf vs tens

TENS units work by sending an electrical pulse into the body that target nerves directly. This electrical current overrides pain signals and provides temporary relief.

PEMF sends an electromagnetic field through the body, which combines with the natural magnetic field of the body, and stimulates cells to operate better and start the healing process on their own.

Simply put: TENS addresses the symptom, PEMF addresses the cause of the symptom.

How will i know it’s working?

The results will speak for themselves!

You can expect to see immediate relief during the session, as the electromagnetic pulses have a calming affect on animals, and reduce inflammation very quickly.

If your animal is suffering from an injury, results can be seen anywhere from a few days to a few weeks after their session(s). Results can vary depending on many factors, such as severity of the injury, what medications your pet may be on, and the response of the individual pet.

If their condition is more chronic (like arthritis), they will feel relief right away, and can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the severity of their condition.

It’s important to note: PEMF does NOT cure ailments. It provides a healthy environment within the body to help heal itself, but is not a direct “cure all”.

Are there any side effects?

There are no known side effects to PEMF Therapy. However caution should be taken in regards to medications, as PEMF Therapy increases blood circulation and cellular permeability, which can cause medications to be absorbed better.
Additionally, we do not recommend PEMF therapy for animals who are pregnant, or have a digital implant device such as a pacemaker.

What should i bring to my pets session?

We will travel to you or your vet clinic to provide our PEMF Therapy but it’s helpful to have your pets favorite treat or snack to help reward their good behavior during a session.

For small animals, having their bed or a blanket handy will help them feel more comfortable. We use an “Opt in” approach and will NEVER force an animal to participate if they feel uncomfortable. If we are unable to perform a session, you will not be charged.
